Called Abel appliance repair Saturday morning and Larry answered. I told him what the issue was and he said he would come out that afternoon, again a Saturday and same day. About 3pm he got there, took a look at the refrigerator, determined it was probably the main board, so he tried that. Sure enough that was the issue. The bill was extremely reasonable and I say that because I looked up the part to see how much it would have cost me, so I know the amount he charged me total was more than fair. He was very professional and friendly and did I mention he came out on a Saturday the same day? Gave me some free advice on my AC and even gave me a reference to someone if I needed a repair on that. Overall, I couldn’t be happier and am glad I decided to give him a call. No question that in the future if I need something done like this he will be the first and only one I call. Thank you again.
I was having trouble with my washing machine and called this company to arrange a service call. When I told him the maker of the washing machine, he advised that it would be better to purchase a new washer than try to get this one fixed. I was on the wire of even calling to see if it could be fixed and so appreciated his honesty to tell me it wasn’t worth it than to come to my house, charge me a service call and then tell me the same thing he did over the phone. This is an honest company and I can trust from now on out to fix all my appliances and I recommend him to others. No lying, no cheating, just honest reliable is what I personally feel about this company.

Just wanted to let Everyone know how happy we are with the jobs that Larry has done for us. We 1st met him when we had him fix our refrigertor. We liked him soooo much that we had him come back to do our cloths washing machine. And, once again we were very pleased. Great first time experience with Larry. We had a washing machine that wouldn’t drain. He came out on a Sunday afternoon and promptly identified and fixed the problem. I first called Larry back in the Fall of ’09 when my bottom-of-the-line “Performa” refrigerator by Maytag quit cooling.
We called Larry about 8:00 in the morning. He found time to come by right after lunch that same day. He troubleshot, advised me, and repaired the problem within 90 minutes. I was simply amazed.
Larry advised me that a Hot Start Kit installed in my unit would fix it for now, but the compressor would fail. He said it could be three months or a year. He gave me a VERY reasonable price and told me that if the compressor did fail that he would reduce the cost of that repair by the amount I paid him for this one! Who does that?!!
From then to now. The compressor did fail; a year and a half later. I called Larry, he remembered repairing my refrigerator back on ’09 and told me that he would have to get a new compressor. He had it the part the next day. He managed to squeeze me in to a very busy schedule and get my repair done quickly. He is happy when he works and has a wonderful sense of humor! When he was done, he gave us the bill and it was exactly what he quoted minus the cost of the first repair! I couldn’t believe he honored that a year and a half later.
Larry is a consummate professional. When I described him to my Dad, his comment was, “He’s a good business man!” He is, indeed. I recommend Abel Appliance Repair and Larry Garner to anyone who needs an appliance repaired. He won’t steer you wrong!
